The short version
Snippet is a snippet manager, not an ad platform. We collect only what we need to run the service. We never sell your data and we never show you ads. Your snippet content is encrypted at rest on our servers with AES-256-GCM.
What we collect
- Email address: identifies your account and is used for account emails such as a password reset. It is never used for marketing without your explicit opt-in.
- Snippet data: snippet bodies are stored encrypted at rest on our servers (AES-256-GCM). Titles, tags, folder names and language labels are stored as plain metadata. The encryption key is managed on the server, so this is not end-to-end (zero-knowledge) encryption.
- Device metadata: device name and user agent, kept to run cross-device sync.
- Server logs: standard access logs (IP address, time, URL, HTTP status), kept for up to 30 days for abuse prevention and debugging.
What we never do
- We never sell your data to third parties.
- We never run advertising or install ad trackers.
- We never embed analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Segment).
- We do not access your snippet content by hand, except where support, security or the law requires it.
- We never watch your clipboard in the background.
Data retention
Your account data is kept while your account is active. You can export your snippets at any time. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our active systems.
Third-party services
Purchases, if any, are handled by Google Play under Google Play's own privacy policy, and refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. Apart from that, no third-party service receives your personal data.
Your rights
You can export your data at any time. To delete your account, use the account deletion page or email [email protected].
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and, when the change affects how we use your data, tell you by email.
