Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating a Snippet account you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms apply to Snippet's apps and services and the APIs behind them.

Service description

Snippet is a snippet manager that lets you save, organise and paste reusable text. It syncs your snippets across your devices and encrypts them at rest.

Purchases

Purchases, if any, are made through Google Play under Google Play's terms, and refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. Any right that the consumer law of your country gives you also applies.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service to store or send malware, illegal content or spam;
• try to get around rate limits or abuse the API;
• resell or sublicense access to the service;
• reverse-engineer, copy or create derivative works of the service.

Your data

You own your snippets. We store them encrypted on your behalf and claim no licence to your content beyond what is needed to run the service (syncing your snippets to your devices). See the Privacy Policy for the details.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content shared through Snippet infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with:

• the work you believe is infringed;
• where the material is, for example the share link;
• your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
• a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
• a statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
• your physical or electronic signature.

A valid notice results in the account being suspended pending review. If you believe material was removed by mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, the material removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake, your consent to jurisdiction and your signature. Accounts of repeat infringers are closed.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Before an account is closed you can export your data: we give at least 7 days notice unless the closure is due to illegal activity.

Limitation of liability

Snippet is provided "as is". To the maximum extent the law permits, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Using the service after that date means you accept the change.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where we operate.
