Emiko privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-29
This policy explains what the Emiko app, made by runupbiz, does with your information. In short: everything you enter stays on your phone, Emiko has no account and no server, and the free app shows Google AdMob ads.
In short
- Loan figures, saved plans and settings are stored on your phone only.
- Emiko has no account, no sign-in and no server of its own: it sends nothing you enter anywhere.
- The free app shows one Google AdMob banner. Google collects the information described below for ads; Emiko receives none of it.
- Emiko runs no analytics or crash reporting.
- Delete your data in Settings > Clear all data, or uninstall the app.
What stays on your phone
Your calculations, saved plans, drafts, language, currency, number format and theme are stored in the app's private storage on your phone. They are not uploaded, and other apps cannot read them.
A backup file exists only if you make one: Settings > Back up my plans creates a file and opens your phone's share sheet. Where the file goes is your choice; Emiko does not upload it.
Ads
The free app shows one banner ad from Google AdMob on some screens. To show it, Google's advertising software on your phone connects to Google and may collect your device's advertising ID and other device and usage information, as described in Google's own documentation. Emiko does not receive this information.
Ads are non-personalised by default. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), Google asks for your consent before any ad is requested; if you refuse, no ad is shown. You can review your answer later in Settings > Ad privacy choices when that entry is shown.
Google describes what its advertising software does here:
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
Sharing
Emiko shares something only when you tap Share or Back up: a schedule as a CSV file, a summary as text or an image, or a backup file. It goes through your phone's share sheet to the app you choose.
The app's own screens make no network requests; the only network traffic comes from Google's advertising software.
Your choices
You can pick another currency, number format, language or theme in Settings, refuse the ad consent form, and delete your data at any time.
Delete your data
Settings > Clear all data deletes all saved plans, saved values and settings on your phone. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored.
Children
Emiko is a financial calculator for adults. It is not directed at children.
